Grace Church of Mentor Youth Group

Youth Group

Teen Idols. A sports figure. Maybe a TV star.

These would be the idols most would bring to mind.

But what about hidden idols--their cell phones, clothes, boyfriends, girlfriends, or even talents?

Teens' views on the items of the worldthe idols of the world — can change their choices. Immediate choices such as whether to listen to mom and study or talk longer on the cell phone or life choices such as liking gadgets and clothes so much that they want to get that college degree for the sake of the big money job alone. One man has stated that "we are looking to material objects for what only God can give us: a sense of worth."

What path are you following? Where are you looking to give you that sense of value and worth?

At Grace Church of Mentor we look to the Word of God. We dig through the blurry road blocks of a teen's life and help them find the clear, God-pleasing path.

There are many opportunities for spiritual growth for teenagers at GCM. Our teens are not a church within a church. They are a connected, solid group of young people who are tied into the very reason GCM exists! They will learn how to find God's will for their life through Bible studies. They will realize how the Bible can show them how to follow God's plan for their life.

Our Youth Pastor, Steve Sindelar, along with his dynamic youth leaders lead the way in Christ like examples of the Christian faith. They love the gospel of Christ. They are passionate about reaching youth for Christ and helping them find the right paths. Our leaders engage teens and personally invest their hearts and lives into our kids. Our leaders live the mission of Grace Church of Mentor before our teen's eyes.

From Bible Study, worship, and even community outreach, our teens spiritually mentor one another. This is the goal of our youth program--to see teens become more like Christ. Even our monthly activities pursue this goal as well. Each and every time the teens get together it is always for the purpose of pursuing greater Christlikeness.

You will find every opportunity available for knowing Christ, loving God more, learning the Bible, developing Christian friendships, finding God's will, serving in the local church, and preparing for a future that will honor God.

Our Youth Group supports the family, and our youth leaders are the servants of parents. They would love through God's Word to help your teen choose the right path.
