Joseph was born in Cairo, Egypt, into a Muslim home. He was saved while still in Egypt as the result of the ministry of an American evangelist. He left Egypt in 1972 as a result of persecution, and went to America in 1973. Louann was invited to church by friends. She was saved at the age of 12. She and Joseph were married in 1982. They felt called by God to reach Muslims with the gospel and arrived in England in 1989 where there is an increasing number of Muslims. They moved to Birmingham, the second largest city in the United Kingdom in 1995 and began Grace Bible Fellowship Church in 1996. While there have occasionally been Muslims attending the church services, most of the Abrahams contact with them has been outside a church setting. Many of their immediate neighbors are Muslims, and so are the local barber, some shopkeepers, and other business people they come in contact with regularly. The church meets on Sundays in a rented hall and on Wednesday nights in the Abrahams home. The congregation is a mixture of mature Christians, recently saved people and sometimes those who are unsaved. Recently they have had contacts with several Egyptians. Being located in a culturally diverse area, the church is likewise a mixture of cultures. There are West Indians, Filipinos, English and others in the church, all united by a common bond in Jesus Christ.

Brad and Krischa McKenzie have ministered full-time in Germany since 1992. Krischa grew up near Tubingen, Germany in the ministry of her parents, Jurgen and Joan Matthia. Brads father was a pastor and encouraged Brad toward missions by reading from missionary biographies and taking an active interest in missionaries. Brad and Krischa met in music theory class at Bob Jones University in 1980. After marrying in 1985 they entered into short-term ministry in Tubingen, Germany for 13 months before joining GFA. Brad is convinced the Lord led him and his family specifically to Magdeburg. In 1986, Brad and Krischa had taken a trip through Germany. They were not allowed to leave the highway until they reached their stated destination, but from the highway Brad could see tall buildings of a city in the distance. As they drove past the city in a van with 9 other people he silently prayed for the mission field he could not then reach and dedicated his life anew to the Lord, never dreaming that one day the Lord might send Krischa and him there to minister. Within 10 years, the Lord placed the McKenzies in that very city, Magdeburg, and they are beginning a church plant there. Work in the region is slow, the German people have been conditioned over years against the existence of God. Pray the Lord will open hardened heart. Brad has for years supported Kevin and Carol Matthia in the camp ministry, preaching frequently and ministering in the camp music. A camp songbook Brad has been working on is due for release. The McKenzies have 10 children: Dalene, Danae, Derek, Donia, Doreen, Dustin, Danke, Donovan, Devon, and Danielle, the first 2 of which are studying at Bob Jones University. Krischa maintains a blog, http://bkmckenzie.blogspot.com, which gives insight into the family aspect of their life in Germany.
