Dale and Lisa Crawford, along with their 5 children, Timothy, Jessica, Daniel, Alissa, and Crystal, are serving the Lord at GFA headquarters in Greenville, S.C. Dale, as the Administrative Director, is a missionary to the missionaries' (about 250 of them all around the world). Interacting with them by e-mail and telephone, he deals with their challenges and blessings daily. 'Napakaganda; which is the Philipino Tagalog equivalent for something like 'just excellent' is their goal in serving our missionaries. Dale grew up in Madison, Ohio, met Lisa at Bob Jones University and their sending church is Bible Community Church in Mentor, Ohio. Their advice to someone who wants to become a missionary? Serve God whole-heartedly where He has placed you now. Be sure of your call and get the best training you can receive. Don't expect to feel adequate for every task the Lord has for you, but serve with confidence, knowing the Lord will accomplish His work through you.

Bill and Teresa Pfaunmiller first met in the eight grade. Teresa remembers her Spanish teacher saying this is not just another class, it is something you may use the rest of your life. They attended school together from that point until graduating from college. However, they did not begin dating until their senior year of high school when they learned that each loved the Lord and was committed to serving the Lord in the manner of His choosing. On August 23, 1985, they were married and one week later returned to Bob Jones University to finish their degrees. Then they moved to Mt. Pleasant, PA, to teach in a Christian school. In March 1990, the Lord called them to Puerto Rico during the missions conference at their home church, Mt. Carmel Community Church. Since January 1995, Bill and Teresa have served the Lord in Puerto Rico. The Lord has blessed the family with five children: Steven, Nathan, Bethany, Matthew, and Jonathan. After serving for several years with fellow GFA missionaries Dean and Brenda Hendrix, the Pfaunmillers wer asked to lead Iglesia Bautista Misionera and Ponce Christian Academy. Materialism is the number one god in Puerto Rico. People are curious, they listen, and are polite, they may even agree with you, but thats all the further it goes. Natives support themselves in construction work and in the employ of the government. They do a lot of door to door evangelism, sometimes asking the question What does your church teach that would help you know youre going to Heaven? They need good literature in Spanish. They have about 65-70 attending church . Their greatest competition are the Pentecostals, the greatest hindrance Catholicism. Their advice to those considering the mission field is to work with a missionary who has been on the field for at least a year.
