Purpose

Great Lakes Bible Institute (GLBI), a ministry of Grace Church of Mentor, exists to equip believers for Christian service through biblical instruction and hands-on ministry opportunities, grounded in the belief that Christ is building His church and has gifted evangelists and pastor-teachers for this purpose. With a staff of experienced and academically trained pastors, GLBI emphasizes the importance of spiritual growth, practical application, and doctrinal integrity, rejecting ecumenical compromises and modern movements that stray from biblical truth. Students engage in various ministries—from preaching and teaching to evangelism and music—while being trained to uphold sound doctrine and live separated from worldly influences. GLBI welcomes anyone seeking personal edification or ministry preparation, offering a Christ-centered environment rooted in Scripture and service.

None Like Him: The Doctrine of God – taught by Mike Hixson

Schedule: Monday, September 8 – November 10.

Cost: $25

Class Overview: Often called “Theology Proper,” the study of God is foundational to Christianity and even to our humanity. Who made you? And what is He like? This class will explore and examine the Bible’s description of God – His reality, His greatness, His goodness, and His relationship to mankind and to the entire universe. Special attention will be given to His divine attributes and to His sovereign plan for governing all things. In the end, our study should result in being better worshippers and more skillfully relating to Him on His terms.
